1st round (28th overall) of 2002, but did not sign... PERSONAL: Father, John, is a former two-time American
League All-Star (1973-74). Finished career .253-255-879 (881 BB, 810 K) in 1620 G from 1968-82 and was both
the KC and TOR single-season HR record holder upon retirement… Played for 2004 USA Baseball National Team and helped Team USA to a gold medal in FISU World University Games in Taiwan (.254-2-9, 15-59)... At Stanford, was a 2-time All-Pac-10 selection and a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American in 2003...
